Restricted Call for Strategic Project Proposal

Public consultations on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for the strategic project "Establishing of a New Border Cross Check Point (BCCP) Strumyani - Berovo (Klepalo)" were held in the villages of Strumyani and Tsaparevo.

The investment proposal includes the construction of the Border Cross Check Point  “Strumyani – Berovo”, together with the necessary access infrastructure, including Road III-1008 “Strumyani – BCCP Klepalo”.

On 7^th October 2024, in the town of Berovo, Republic of North Macedonia, the official event was held to mark the beginning of activities under the strategic project "Establishing of a New Border Cross Check Point (BCCP) Strumyani - Berovo (Klepalo)". The project is part of the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Bulgaria - North Macedonia, aimed at improving cross-border connectivity and economic cooperation between the two countries. 

On 11^th of March 2024, in collaboration between the National Authority - the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria-North Macedonia Programme, a successful training was held for the beneficiaries of the strategic project “Establishment of a New Border Cross Check Point (BCCP) Strumyani-Berovo ("Klepalo") between Bulgaria and North Macedonia”.
