Training for applicants under Targeted Call for development and submission of Full Project Proposals (FPP)

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the training series intended for applicants under the Targeted Call for the Development and Submission of Full Project Proposals (FPP) under the Territorial Strategy of the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria - North Macedonia Programme. The trainings, which took place from 29 May 2024 to 7 June 2024 in the premises of the Joint Secretariat in Kyustendil, saw the active participation of representatives of 62 applicant organizations involved in 11 projects approved for funding under Specific objective 1.2 "Development of an attractive tourism product for all seasons from funds for smart solutions that ensure universal access and participation" of the Territorial Strategy.

During these sessions, participants received extensive  guidance from representatives of the Joint Secretariat and the Managing Authority. The key elements of the Guide for Identified Applicants for the Development and Submission of Full Project Proposals (Contracting Guide) were accurately presented. The focus areas of the training included:

Budget and Intensity Support: Detailed insights into the financial aspects and extent of support provided within the programme.

Annexes and attachments: clarifications about the necessary documentation that will accompany the project proposals.

Project partners: Guidelines for cooperation and roles of project partners.

Budget categories: Breakdown and explanation of different budget categories relevant to project proposals.

Legal and Eligible Documents: Instructions on the documents required to verify the legality and eligibility of proposed investments.

Screening and contracting process: An overview of the stages involved in the evaluation and contracting of projects.

In addition to the theoretical training, applicants had the opportunity to engage in a practical workshop focused on the application process and electronic submission within the JeMS system. This workshop provided participants with hands-on experience, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the technical aspects of submitting their proposals. Participants were also able to ask questions and receive clarifications on each topic covered during the training.

The deadline for submitting full project proposals is set for 30 July 2024.  We strongly encourage all applicants to utilize the resources and knowledge gained during these training sessions to prepare and submit their proposals successfully.

We are confident that this training series has equipped the participants with the necessary tools and information to develop high-quality project proposals, contributing to the overall objectives of the Territorial Strategy of the Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria - North Macedonia Programme.
